Vera Clinic is a hair transplant focused hospital in Istanbul. Its responsibility for a patient begins when the patient lands in Turkey and continues until eighteen months after the operation. Every stage in between is doctor-led: a hair transplant doctor assesses the patient, plans the procedure, performs its critical surgical steps and follows the outcome through to the final evaluation. Throughout the stay, medical representatives handle logistics, while every medical question is answered by a doctor.

A hair transplant doctor, not a coordinator, reviews the patient's photographs before any quote is given or any surgery date is set. At the hospital, planning starts with a thorough medical history review to assess medications, allergies, chronic conditions, and prior procedures. This is followed by AI-assisted trichoscopy, which maps the density of both the donor and recipient areas. The software provides the data; the doctor makes the decisions. The graft number is set from the density and health of the donor area, the technique is selected after that assessment, and the hairline is drawn by hand by the doctor and redrawn until the patient approves it. Where a patient's needs exceed what the donor area can safely give in one session, the procedure is planned across more than one. Some applicants are declined or redirected at this stage, because a donor area that cannot support the procedure, or a pattern of hair loss that is still progressing, is a reason to wait or to choose a different treatment.

Surgery takes place in the hospital’s own operating rooms, each with its own hair transplant doctor. Turkish Ministry of Health regulations define which stage of a hair transplant may be performed by whom, and Vera Clinic works within those defined roles. Vera Clinic’s hair transplant doctors perform every critical step of the procedure. Doctors open the channels that receive the grafts, the step that determines the angle, direction and density of the result. The whole procedure is done by the doctor with their hair transplant specialist certified assistant team. The certification is government-issued and requires a healthcare background. Anaesthesia is administered by an anaesthesiologist and certified nurses. Every member of the surgical team holds the certification required for the task they perform.

The weeks after surgery shape the result as much as the operation itself. PRP and low-level laser therapy are part of the standard protocol for every patient. Stem cell therapy and exosome treatment are also available at the hospital as supportive treatments. They are not part of the standard protocol and are provided when a patient requests them and the doctor considers them appropriate.

The hospital has its own hyperbaric chamber, in the same building where surgery takes place. For patients who choose it, the OxyCure protocol is applied after hair transplantation to support early healing, help control swelling and support graft survival. Graft survival is tracked closely at the hospital, and Vera Clinic’s internal records show a 98% graft survival rate. OxyCure is not a hair loss treatment and does not produce new hair in a patient who has not had a transplant. The protocol is usually limited to one session, occasionally two, in line with current evidence on hyperbaric oxygen for early healing.

Recovery begins the day after surgery under the care of a hair transplant doctor. The first wash is carried out at the hospital by the clinical team, and every patient leaves with an aftercare kit as a standard part of every procedure, not an add-on.

Most patients return home within a week of surgery, while the result takes about a year to develop. Follow-up therefore continues at regular intervals through photographs and video calls with the medical team, and outcomes are evaluated over an eighteen-month period. Each patient is assigned one medical representative from the post-op team for these eighteen months, with scheduled check-ins at three, six, nine and twelve months. The medical representative coordinates the follow-up, while any medical question is answered by a doctor. Where the doctor finds that an outcome calls for clinical correction within that period, a further procedure can be planned, provided that medical guidance and aftercare instructions have been followed.

Vera Clinic Academy is where the hospital's clinical knowledge is taught, examined and shared. Approved by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of National Education, the Academy admits licensed physicians only, follows the prescribed syllabus in full and concludes with an official certificate, the Hair Transplant Practitioner Certificate, issued by the Ministry. Vera Clinic hair transplant doctors are instructors in the Ministry of Health's physician training course. Alongside the syllabus, the programme includes sessions with a licensed psychologist on how a patient's emotional state can affect the clinical process. The Academy also studies the hospital's own outcomes and publishes what it finds, including the findings that are modest.

Vera Clinic is a licensed hospital, approved and inspected by the Turkish Ministry of Health, with no agency between patient and doctor. It holds the International Health Tourism Authorization Certificate issued by the Ministry, and its ISO 9001 quality management and ISO 10002 complaint-handling systems are audited annually by external certification bodies.
