Antonio Conte’s Hair Transplant Experience

Several high-profile individuals in the football world have reaped the benefits of a good hair transplant. It’s no secret that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp had the procedure done. His hair looks great throughout the football season. But the Premiership manager who has seen the best results from a hair transplant is Tottenham Hotspur’s manager Antonio Conte. Conte’s hair transformation was significant and successful.

A quick search online will show you that many football fans have searched about Conte’s hair transplant. Terms like ‘Antonio Conte Hair Loss’ or ‘Antonio Conte Hair Transplant’ are prevalent on search engines. This is a testament to his impressive results with his hair transplant. Those who remember him during his days as a player will recall that, like many men, Antonio Conte’s hair has begun thinning through his late 20s.

This hair loss continued until his early 30s when balding was evident. At the time, he was a successful and popular player in Series A and represented his country regularly with the Italian national team.

Many pictures of Conte from that period are floating around. Conte’s photos verify he was suffering from advanced male pattern baldness.

Antonio Conte’s Hair Transplant Journey

Dignified Aging

Since retiring as a player and entering the management world, Antonio Conte’s hair has undergone at least two transplant procedures. Both were performed to cover the balding areas at the front of his hairline. It is most likely that he opted for an FUE transplant, which stands for Follicular Unit Extraction. This involves removing individual grafts from the back and sides of the scalp, then replanting them in the balding regions.

We think that Conte’s hair transplant was an FUE because he has no scars. This is a recent development, as just five years ago, most patients asked for the more traditional hair transplant method known as FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation). The main advantage of FUE, as opposed to FUT, is that there will be less scarring. Because FUE patients only leave with a few pricks that heal into oblivion after surgery. In contrast, FUT patients get a visible scar and permanent nerve damage.

Antonio Conte Spent More Money to Have Fewer Problems

FUE is a little more expensive than FUT because of the extra time it takes to carry out the procedure. Mostly because individually removing donor grafts is more time-consuming than taking an entire strip of skin for a transplant.

But opting for the cheaper alternative will leave you with a visible scar on your donor region. Read more about how to avoid scars after hair transplantation.

The side effects of FUT can fundamentally impact your styling options in the future. For instance,  you might want to grow out your hair and keep it so to cover the scar. But if you like to keep your hair short, FUE is the better option. In the end, Antonio Conte’s hair has far more freedom than it would have with FUT.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has never spoken out publicly about his hair transplants. Therefore we can’t say for sure which method he opted for. But in either case, congratulations are to his transplant surgeon because the results are excellent.
