Breast lift, medically referred to as mastopexy, is a surgical procedure that intends to reverse breast sagging caused by aging or by weight fluctuation, and give the breasts a firmer perkier look.
Breast Lift Recovery and results:
Patients who undergo a breast lift surgery are expected to resume daily activity within 5 days. Any swelling and soreness will fade out within a fortnight of the surgery. Numbness in the nipples, areola, and breast should not be a cause of concern and will disappear in 6 weeks. Change in appearance will be noticeable immediately, however as time progresses, the results of the treatment will further accentuate.
A breast lift surgery needs approximately 3 hours to be performed.
Factors determining candidacy:
The surgeons and technicians will make the final decisions regarding our patient’s candidacy upon consultation, but in general the defining factors include:
Presence of sagging:
If the nipples point downward when unsupported, if the breasts fall lower than average, or if the areola is stretched out, the patient is considered eligible for a breast lift surgery.
Good physical health:
Patients are required to be in good health to avoid future complications. Patient suffering from any pre-existing medical conditions should notify their surgeons to avoid any health risks after the surgery.
The doctors at Vera Clinic will prescribe the required medications and provide the patients with all the information needed to ensure a comfortable recovery.
